Hi,

I would like to have a little groupware accessible by the web.
The functionalities I am looking for are :
- Accessiva password
- Possibility to upload and download documents
- Only the proprietary (and the administrator) of a document can
delete it or update it
- Automatic notification to the members when a new document is
published (optionally)
- Installation on a linux platform.

In my mind it would be somehting similar to bscw

Thanks for your anwsers,

Marco

You might want to give ProjectForum a try.
Lots of password and access control features,
notification via RSS, very easy to use and painless
to install on Linux (and Windows, Mac OS X and FreeBSD
as well) with users just needing their web browser.

You might consider

which does all this for Yen10.000/month.
It is a web based online service, no installation needed.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all on Windows2000, XP, or 2003.

I just downloaded the 40-meg installer, installed it, after finding
and satisfying all of the requirements, and when I launch it in the latest
patched-and-stable version of IE on the same box, it looks like the ASP
code itself is missing lots of things, and is syntactically-incorrect, so
the main page itself doesn't even load (missing closing parens,
terminating semicolons, etc.)

Pitiful.

Hello David,

OfficeClip is *not* implemented in ASP (by this I guess you meant Active
Server Pages). So maybe you have gotten confused when you tried to read the
code. It is implemented in the .Net framework and the code is in the
executable. The same code is installed at the website at
http://www.officeclip.com.

Your missing code perception is probably due to the fact that the .net
scripts files are barebone as most of the code is compiled.

OfficeClip needs .Net framework and MSDE installed in the machine (both are
free and MSDE is bundled with OfficeClip). Feel free to call our support
number (you can get this from the website) if you have any problems getting
it running and we will walk you through the process.

Regards
OfficeClip Support
